About the role As an Assistant Category OR Category Manager, you'll relish the chance to create great outcomes for our business and our customers.
Confident in your skills, and full of innovative ideas, you'll take full accountability for your product portfolio.
It's not just about developing a winning category strategy, but actually shaping our customers' shopping experience.
Using your strategic skills and trading expertise, you'll identify growth opportunities within your category, deliver a point of difference for our customer base and increase our share within the market.
Importantly, you'll know that the key to all these things relies on rock-solid supplier relationships.

The ability to: Drive innovation, results and performance of your categories.
Work closely with the broader Coles Commercial team, including working across Marketing, Operations, Transformation and Strategy teams.
Execute our customer-centric strategy for your categories.
Build strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, as well as using your negotiation and influencing skills to drive the direction of your category About you and your skills Using your trading expertise and commercial flair, you'll understand market share gaps and develop and implement a market-leading plan across your portfolio.
You'll also have: Demonstrated Category Management, buying or trading experience within a retail environment.
Outstanding influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strategic thinking with the ability to operate in a dynamic, customer-driven retail environment.
Proven ability to champion and drive change and continuous improvement.
Strong commercial and financial acumen Customer- first approach Ready to see what you can achieve with all the right ingredients?
