Join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation, where you'll lead procurement and category management activities across critical areas, driving value, innovation, and efficiency. This is an exciting 6 month contract (with potential to extend) based in a collabrative team where your strategic skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities will make a tangible impact.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute category strategies to optimise value and align with business objectives.Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including tendering, supplier selection, and contract negotiation.Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring performance and driving continuous improvement.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and provide strategic procurement advice.Oversee contract management activities, ensuring compliance, cost control, and risk mitigation.Conduct market analysis to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and benchmarking against industry standards.Ensure procurement activities adhere to governance, regulatory, and sustainability requirements.Skills, Experience and Qualifications: Proven experience in procurement and category management, ideally within energy, utilities, mining, or construction sectors. Experience in ICT category management, well regarded.Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and delivering cost-saving initiatives.Experience in managing high-value contracts and driving supplier performance.Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across business functions.Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.Proficiency in procurement systems.Degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is desirable, along with relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPS).
