Role Description:The Category Advisor is an exciting opportunity in our Thermal Generation Supply Chain team based at our Central Park offices in Perth CBD.
The purpose of the role is to support activities relating to category management, strategic sourcing and contract management for the nominated spend categories, ensuring maximum value is generated for Synergy.
Job responsibilities:Apply category management processes in alignment with Synergy procurement standard and procedures.Collaborate with category managers to draft, negotiate, implement and manage tier 3 contracts across allocated categories.Participate in the development and release of tenders into the market.Participate in the evaluation of the commercial aspects of the bid process and provide recommendations to the business.Communicate and influence effectively across the business in relation to category strategies, supplier performance and contract life cycle activities.What you will bring:Cert IV in logistics or Supply chain or equivalent.Minimum of 2 years' experience with category management practices and principles.Sound knowledge of SAP and Ariba is preferred.Knowledge of corporate law and / or a professional certification such as CIPSA or similar will be highly regarded.What we offer: Working for an employer of choice also means you will enjoy:
