The Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FFE) System Procurement Project is responsible for the specification, contracting and purchasing of an estimated $1 billion in FFE required for the $14 billion capital investment the Queensland Government is making into health infrastructure.
The Category Advisor will provide specialist support in the management of medium to high value and complexity sourcing and category management activities to deliver value for money through the implementation of innovative procurement processes that deliver best practice procurement processes and outcomes.

The successful candidate will develop category, product and supplier knowledge databases to inform sub-category strategies.
Ensure adequate analysis of customer requirements is undertaken to underpin category strategies and to support effective supplier negotiations.

The essential requirements for this role are:
Demonstrated experience in leading complex tenders and developing and implementing supplier transition plans.The ability to develop and maintain a deep knowledge of relevant supplier markets, capabilities and technology and take responsibility for the tender evaluation, negotiation, facilitation and implementation of long-term and complex agreements and/or partnerships with suppliers.Demonstrated experience in managing complex internal customer and supplier issues, including the ability to resolve supplier performance issues; support internal customers in the development of complex specifications; and ensure materials/services are delivered according to contract.Cooperative and collaborative; support colleagues; is a good team player and will contribute fairly to the team.
