Seeking an enthusiastic and interested lecturer/tutor with understanding of enabling education. University Preparatory Program (UPP) The University Preparatory Program (UPP) is a tuition-free program for students who require further academic and discipline specific preparation before commencing a bachelor degree. Our students are incredibly diverse and include domestic low SES, EALD, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, ex-professional looking for a career change, as well as recent school leavers. As an enabling education program, UPP provides avenues into higher education for students seeking non-traditional options. This program enables students to become acculturated with the expectations and practices of studying at university, ensuring they are well suited to enter a bachelor degree successfully.
This role would suit qualified and experienced teachers or lecturers looking to commence or continue working in the higher education environment and have a key understanding of, and have a passion for, enabling education, widening participation, and access to educational opportunities for all students.
Role We are seeking a Lecturer/Tutor for the following course in 2025:
Reasoning with Numbers: Statistical Literacy (Semester 1 & Semester 2)This course is a pathway to various bachelor programs including the Bachelor of Psychological Sciences, the Bachelor of Nursing, the Bachelor of Finance & Banking, the Bachelor of Economics, and the Bachelor of Health & Medical Sciences.
The suitable candidate will have strong content knowledge in the relevant course, strong pedagogical practices with an appreciation of enabling students' requirements. This position requires a valid WWCC.
