We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling, and withdrawal management services).
About the roleWe are seeking a values-driven and proactive Alcohol and Other Drug Services Case Worker, at our St Marys Salvos Community Connect.
The post-holder will report to the Team Leader and provide efficient day-to-day service delivery through education, interventions, group work, assessment, referral, and case work within a recovery-oriented and person-led service environment.
This is a permanent part-time position (24 hours a week) located in St. Marys Salvos, NSW.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 4. You will successfullyProvide efficient day-to-day service delivery through education, interventions, group work, assessment, referral, and case work within a recovery-oriented and person-led service environment.Develop and monitor individual treatment plans and maintain case management documentation, records, reports, and data collection, utilising established case planning procedures.Assess client and program risk and mitigate risk in accordance with TSA policy and procedures.Demonstrate commitment to an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high-quality services.Provide reports (oral and/or written) to Team leader as requested.Acquire and maintain a good working knowledge of referral and support options for clients.Work collaboratively and professionally with other services.Participate in sector events and training.You will haveMinimum of Diploma level qualification in a relevant discipline (AOD, Community Services, Case Management).Completed 4 AOD Skill Set Units (or willing to undertake/complete during employment).Valid Working with Children Check (due to location of this role at a multi-function Community Services site St Mary's).A valid Drivers Licence.First aid certificate.Demonstrated ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviours utilising de-escalation techniques.Comply with The Salvation Army Organisational Code of Conduct which includes an alcohol, gambling and drug-free workplace.Ability to critically reflect on professional practice and attitudes.Ability to develop and tailor programs to meet client's needs.Knowledge of AOD, mental health, community services, and health sectors.Demonstrated experience and ability to work with those impacted by substance abuse, gambling, and mental health conditions.Experience working with people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background.Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and religions.Experience working in collaboration with other organisations.What we offerNFP salary packaging ($15,900 tax-free) plus meals and entertainment benefit ($2,650).Flexible working conditions.Health, fitness and financial discounts / benefits.Paid parental leave - 12 weeks.Up to 8 weeks leave per year through our purchase leave scheme.Up to 5 days paid leave per year to 'volunteer' in a TSA program or activity.Purpose-driven career which has positive social and sustainable outcomes.Employee Assistance Program - Independent confidential counselling service.Opportunity for career development.An inclusive culture of dedicated, passionate and professional team members.Positively supporting and impacting the lives of others through your career contribution.How to ApplyIf you're excited by this unique opportunity, the above sounds like you, and you have a heart for working for an organisation that truly does transform lives, we would love to speak to you.
