Fixed term, full time opportunity based in Melbourne until 30 June 2025 with possibility of extensionContribute to community safety by applying practices that reduce reoffendingSalary range of $76,818 - $85,048 plus superannuationCommunity Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connecting individuals to programs and services. CCS provides management of individuals on court orders, serious sex offenders on post sentence supervision and prisoners on parole.
About the role: Case Officers in the Court Practice stream are responsible for the administration of court orders for individuals assessed as being at low risk of reoffending and may also be required to manage individuals on reparation orders. This role requires directing and monitoring compliance in line with court order obligations and evidence-based practice. While this role has client-facing elements, there will be a high volume of administrative work involved.
Key Responsibilities include: Apply order administration activities to service usersRefer individuals to relevant services and monitor compliance against order requirementsImplement appropriate responses to non-compliance and escalate matters to senior staff as requiredProduce case notes, reports and other standard documents in line with procedural guidelinesWork collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to team planning and work process improvementsAbout you: High attention to detail and ability to complete high-volume administrative tasks efficientlyDemonstrated experience or awareness of key case management components: assessment, planning, service coordination, and interventionsPays attention to words, expression, and body language; recognises behaviours that promote a culture of inclusionTakes action through self, or in consultation with others to resolve problemsFor more details on the position please review the position description attached or contact: Josephine Calabro – Manager, Court Practice on 0447 332 727Successful candidates will be invited to interview in early January Why work with us?
