Your role: Case management, assessment, and support of kinship carers. Support kinship carers to consistently meet the needs of children in their care. A rounded approach engaging schools, families, and carers in support and case management. Have a passion for working with children and young people impacted by trauma who reside in out-of-home care. Have creative thinking and problem-solving skills to engage those who might be resistant to supports. Committed to achieving positive outcomes for carers, young people, and their families. Work collaboratively with their team and team leader. Continuously liaise with DFFH Child Protection. The skills we want you to use day to day: The agility and skill to engage with complex individuals. Using creative thinking and skill to engage carers, families, and children. A good knowledge of and a trauma-informed approach. Strong administrative skills and ability to meet timelines. Sophisticated understanding of the legislative, policy, and practice environment of Out of Home Care and a passion for learning. Strong engagement, communication, advocacy, and conflict resolution skills. Strong written communication. Strong networking and stakeholder engagement to promote the Best Interests of children. Demonstrated experience in case management. What you need to know: A salary starting at SCHCADS level 5, which equates to around $97,377 plus super. Flexible through the increments dependent upon experience. Permanent position. Part-time hours, 0.8 which is 4 days per week (30.4 hours). Based at our centrally located office in Bendigo.
