THE COMPANY As an established builder and manufacturer, my client has strong established business relationships with builders from Tier 1 to Tier 3. Within this division of the business, they're involved in construction of Commercial Fit Out, Industrial, Retail & Hospitality projects.
THE ROLE As part of daily responsibilities, you will work collaboratively with our General Manager and Project Manager ensuring that projects are completed to the required standards and time frames. As a unique part of this role, the client would ideally like an Estimator who also has a background in Carpentry . If this is you, PLEASE APPLY! It is essential that the successful candidate be able to exhibit a high level of product knowledge of Commercial estimation:
Receiving quotation and tender requests from clients; inclusive of design/engineering drawings and project specifications and assist preparation of tenders for new contracts/variations works. Reviewing drawings and completing take-offs to form part of our tender submission. Reviewing key areas of specifications to identify key compliance allowances/exclusions. Ongoing communication with clients for purposes of amendments and/or variations. Assist with procurement of materials. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Other requirements for this role will be;
A background of both CARPENTRY AND ESTIMATION would be ideal. Experience on projects comprising of Commercial New Build, Fit Out and Formwork are all required to be successful for this role. Must have intermediate computer skills using take off software as well as Excel & PlanSwift. Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to liaise with clients. Ability to detail costings, prepare & submit accurate tenders and quotations. Ability to work to specifications & deadlines. WHAT'S ON OFFER $110,000-130,000K package
