We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time Carpenter - Onsite Construction Supervisor to join us as part of our On-site Construction Team working mostly in the Hunter Valley area; however, occasional overnight work away from home across NSW is required.
This role will involve (but is not limited to):
Work closely and be coached by our Onsite Construction Manager. Supervise tradespersons and apprentices and assist with on-the-job training. Scheduling of onsite trades and material deliveries. Ordering of materials and quoting of works. Understand and apply quality control techniques to works and materials. Building surrounds, decks, landings, ramps, steps, carports, and garages attached to modular homes. General carpentry work associated with internal fix out, external completion and complexing modular homes together. General labouring. Service and maintenance on completed homes. You will have: Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively liaise with suppliers and contractors to build and maintain strong working relationships. Ability to work effectively autonomously and as part of a high-performing team. Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise competing tasks. A high level of attention to detail. Ability to identify and problem solve issues in a timely manner. The successful candidate will: Possess a current OHS White Card. Be a permanent resident of Australia. Trade qualified with relevant practical experience. Ability to read technical documents and drawings. An eye for detail and the ability to work at a low margin of error. NSW unrestricted driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to utilise your skills in a challenging and rewarding role. Days of work are Monday to Friday, with some Saturday work required on occasion. Occasional travel will also be required as part of this role, including periodic visits to our factory on the Central Coast.
