CBS Builders is seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic team in Sydney. We specialize in high-quality residential, commercial, and industrial projects, delivering excellence and precision in all aspects of construction.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Analyze blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to identify required materials and dimensions, plan layout work, and determine the most effective installation procedures.
• Order and select timber and other construction materials based on project requirements. Prepare and mark out construction layouts to ensure precision in assembly.
• Cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials to create frameworks, roofs, panelized systems, and sub-flooring. Verify structures for accuracy and alignment.
• Install fascia panels, roof sheathing, exterior wall cladding, door and window frames. Fit various internal structures such as cabinets and trim, ensuring a polished finish.
• Construct concrete formwork as needed and perform repairs on existing fittings and structures. Work with a variety of materials including plastic laminates, Perspex, and metals to meet diverse project needs.
• Create precise wood joints and execute complex woodworking techniques to ensure durability and structural integrity of all installations.
• Conduct regular inspections of work completed to ensure it meets industry standards and client expectation
Qualifications:
• Certificate III in Carpentry (preferred but not mandatory).
Other Skills and Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of carpentry experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and blueprints.
• Skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements and calculations.
• Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills.
