About the role
As a Visual Arts/Textiles Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing leadership, oversight and on the job training to support our Skill Development Coaches.
You will work as part of the Pathways team toprovide person centred support to people living with a disability, that aligns with the participant's NDIS goals to live a good life.
Your role will include supporting participants to explore their creativity and learn skills through a variety of art forms and designing programs that consider individuals' interests and goals.
About you
We are looking for someone who is passionate and experienced in supporting people with disabilities, with a strong work ethic and the ability to build positive working relationships with participants and team members.
In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:
Knowledge or interest in visual art and textile activities Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with people with disabilities in a direct support role Proven experience successfully leading a small team.
Ability or willingness to obtain a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and excellent understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices You will also need to hold (or have the ability to obtain) a current Ochre Card, Criminal History Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid and CPR certificate and an NT DriversLicence.
