About us The newly integrated Adult and Older Adult Service combines AMAH Adult Community Mental Health and Caulfield Aged and Liaison Psychiatry Services to provide comprehensive, person-centred support for adults and older adults. We offer a wide range of therapeutic, addiction, trauma-informed, and family violence services.
In line with the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health recommendations and the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022, we are expanding our services to provide specialized expertise and broad-spectrum care, including pathways for substance use, rehabilitation, recovery, and trauma-focused care.
Our approach focuses on integrated treatment, education, peer support, care planning, and navigation, supporting individuals at every stage of their recovery journey.
You'll have the opportunity to work in areas such as:
Navigations and Continuing Care: Brief Intervention, Access and Intake, CMHT, Physical Health, and Family ServicesAdult Rehabilitation and Recovery: MSTS, CCU, PARC, HOPS, and SECUAged/Older Adult Mental Health: MAPS, Caulfield Hospital Community Liaison, and inpatient unitsWellbeing and Therapeutic Services: Psychological Trauma and Capacity Building initiativesJoin us in reshaping mental health care with compassionate, specialized support to create meaningful change for our community.
About the Role You will be providing carer peer support to carers and families that have a relative or friend receiving treatment from Alfred Mental and Addiction Health community programs. The position will work in partnership with the AMAH Carer Peer Workforce, Practice Lead – Carer Peer and multidisciplinary treating teams to ensure the unique needs of families are understood and that families are supported during the treatment planning processes.
About you?
