Career Paralegal / Legal Assistant (Immigration)Part-time flexible work hours; minimum 18 hours per weekNomos Legal is looking for a career legal support professional. We actively encourage and welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply, including those with caring responsibilities and those returning to the workforce.Located in the heart of Sydney, Nomos Legal is committed to providing high-quality specialist immigration law advice and advocacy and is looking for a professional who is able to continue their amazing work within the legal support industry by providing quality administrative and paralegal assistance to our immigration lawyers.Tasks & Responsibilities:Drafting, formatting, and reviewing legal documentation including visa applications.Efficiently managing client files.Day-to-day document and file management including data and document collation, maintenance.Drafting correspondence to clients as required.Diary and task list management, setting priorities and scheduling.Conducting legal research as required.Selection Criteria:EssentialAt least 2 years of experience in a paralegal or legal assistant role.Professional experience / knowledge of the Australian migration system.Highly fluent in written and spoken English.Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to draft documents with complete accuracy.Demonstrable problem-solving skills.Professionalism and a positive, client-focused attitude.Ability to manage multiple cases at different stages.Strong organization skills to manage own time, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.A flexible and self-motivated approach to work.Knowledge of and experience using LEAP Legal Software.Confident and experienced in working with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Selection Criteria:DesirablePrevious experience in a small firm.We believe in the value of building strong relationships through a personal approach, allowing us to deliver the most effective results for our clients.
