Your key responsibilities include developing, refining, and implementing the three-year business strategy for the Australian Nuseed operations.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and grow the Australian team's commitment to prioritising health, safety and well-being.
Lead a cross-functional leadership team of 8 across Australia, including HR, Sales, Supply Chain, Market Development, Finance, Marketing/CX and Research & Development.
Drive the development and implementation of the commercial strategy for the Australian business in canola, carinata and Omega-3.
Increase the addressable hybrid canola market through innovation and industry thought leadership.
Responsible for the P&L performance of the Australian Nuseed business.
Ensure long range plans, budgets and forecasts are developed accurately and that the finance team partners with commercial and supply chain to meet the revenue and expense goals of the business.
Work with supply chain to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality canola seed while minimising obsolescence.
Lead a thriving team across Australia that continuously raises the bar.
Work closely with managers to engage staff and build engagement while recruiting, developing and retaining top talent.
Work closely with local and global R&D team to support the portfolio development required.
Understand and solve for the future challenges growers will face, ensuring our R&D efforts are focused on the traits we will need to be successful in future years.
Work with global business partners to strengthen the foundation of the business and drive for success.
Implement IBP and the surrounding analytics to ensure supply/demand decisions are made with all stakeholders in balance.
Work with internal and external Value Chain partners to identify pathways for integrating new platforms into the Australian business.
Create an enabling environment for new platforms (Bioenergy and O-3) through industry engagement and policy advocacy.
Coordinate with the Nuseed Steering team to provide regular updates regarding the Canola crop strategies, globally and regionally.
The role is a Melbourne, VIC Australia based role but travel will be required to the other Nuseed AUS locations including Horsham, Griffith, Western Australia and Toowoomba.
International travel may be required to other Nuseed regions.
