Job Type: Casual Package: $32.90 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading) About the Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority (the Authority) was established on 1 December 2020 to deliver better protection and management of the iconic coast and parks of Victoria's Great Ocean Road. In partnership with Traditional Owners, our role is to manage, protect, rehabilitate and foster resilience of the natural, cultural and heritage values of coastal Crown land and marine waters along the Great Ocean Road. As a public land manager, we manage a wide variety of public land from National Parks to coastal beaches to town foreshores, leading visitation policy and planning for the scenic landscapes along the Great Ocean Road.
Purpose of the position The Caravan Park Attendant is accountable for assisting with the day-to-day front-of-house reception, cleaning, and grounds maintenance duties of the Caravan Park. The role aims for:
Excellent service and customer satisfaction.High presentation and safety standards of park grounds.Maintenance of public and caravan park amenities, cabins, and facilities in a clean and usable condition.Completion of basic building maintenance functions to ensure public safety and operational functionality.Primary responsibilities Face-to-face customer liaison including provision of information, handling complaints, and receiving maintenance requests.Managing customer correspondence via email and phone.Booking reservations using the Rooms Management System (RMS) software.Advising management of customer issues promptly.Providing friendly and efficient customer service.Performing grounds care duties such as weeding, mowing, and irrigation management.Conducting general maintenance duties including minor repairs and painting.Maintaining the amenity and appearance of the caravan park.Performing cleaning duties in cabins and communal areas.Handling stock and lifting items as necessary.Qualifications and experience (preferred): First Aid certificate.Experience in safe manual handling techniques and use of chemicals.RMS booking software experience.Knowledge and skills Practical administrative and customer service skills in hospitality or retail.Grounds maintenance skills in large-scale environments.General repair and handyman skills.Cleaning skills in health, hospitality, or aged care.Excellent communication skills.Ability to work as part of a team.Proactive problem-solving approach.Good time management and organizational skills.
