The role involves supporting the preparation of the annual capital works budget in collaboration with the Project Management Officer – Capital Program and the Financial Services Branch, as well as facilitating internal reporting for Council's annual Capital Works Program and associated budget on an annual and quarterly basis.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include creating and maintaining work orders for all Capital Works projects and developing, monitoring, and reporting on process measures related to the 'Close Out' phase of Capital Projects, covering asset capitalisation, commissioning, and handover.
What you will bring
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Project Management OR less formal qualifications with substantial experience in a relevant field. Substantial experience in a contracts and projects environment with a focus on budget monitoring and programming. Demonstrated experience in budget/program development, implementation, monitoring and reporting. Demonstrated computer literacy skills including MS Office suite, records management, database management and financial systems. High level customer service skills and experience. Experience in managing competing priorities and reporting requirements within nominated timeframes. Experience in working in an environment where quality and attention to detail are required. A current Australian Drivers Licence. Salary and Conditions
The position is classified within Band 6 of Council's Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $93,602.60 to $101,911.16 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
