We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced professional in the role of Capital Development Consultant to join our Planning and Development team at Catholic Education.
This is a full-time ongoing position based at our West Leederville Office.
The RoleThe Capital Development Consultant is responsible for assisting school principals in the engagement with architects, project scoping, planning for their future capital needs, and providing support during the construction phase of the project. This is a senior position in the Capital Development Team and the role is critical in partnering with schools in identifying and defining capital projects.
What we can offer youSalary range for this position is K1 to K4 on the CEO salary scale ($143,218 - $156,367 per annum) plus superannuation.5 days additional paid leave when the office is closed (over Christmas and Easter).Relocation package available for eligible candidates.Salary packaging in line with our not-for-profit status.Free onsite parking.Employee assistance program.About youPrepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties.Commitment to support CEWA values and Catholic identity.Good understanding of master planning, building specifications, and technical drawings.Project experience in the building or related industry, including an understanding of financial management and funding sources.Ability to write concise and accurate written reports with clear recommendations and present them to the relevant stakeholders.Relevant qualifications in Building Project Management or related fields.Ability to understand, interpret and apply relevant building and development legislation including the Building Act 2011, Building Code of Australia, Town Planning Schemes, Local Government Act 1995, Planning and Development Act 2005, and other relevant policies and approval processes, schemes, and local laws.Knowledge of Work Health and Safety, WorkSafe, and other industry standards.Experience in hazard identification and risk management.Ability to negotiate outcomes whilst retaining policy objectives.Demonstrated experience of working within teams and contributing to achieving team objectives.Highly developed analytical, time management, and organisational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Willingness to travel within Western Australia on ad-hoc or pre-planned school visits.Good understanding of contemporary facility requirements in the education sector is highly desirable.To ApplyPlease click on the Apply now button.
