We are seeking a Campus Life Officer to assist the Campus Life Coordinator in planning, coordinating, and delivering programs and support for students living in residence.
This role is vital in fostering social engagement, community building, personal development, and academic support, all aimed at creating a positive and respectful living environment.
Under the guidance of the Campus Life Coordinator, the Campus Life Officer will address resident welfare and personal support issues, ensuring students are connected to the appropriate University services.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Campus Life Officer will help facilitate student-led programs and activities, including social, recreational, learning, and sporting events across Residential Services and the University.
By providing essential advice and support, this position contributes significantly to enhancing the overall student experience and promoting a vibrant, inclusive community.
As a Campus Life Officer, you will: Consult with available sources to gather relevant information and seek the expertise and advice of other people as appropriateCollect and analyse information and data from a variety of appropriate sources to solve work problemsUnderstand local processes, prepare standard documents, manage records, regularly track progress of work tasks and identify key issuesDeliver effective and efficient outcomes and outputs against team and operational work plansTake personal responsibility and show initiative to meeting goals and objectives contributing to an inclusive team environmentRecognise the importance of teamwork and of effective communication amongst team members and build rapport within immediate team in ways that are respectful and inclusive of othersBuild productive relationships with a diverse range of existing stakeholders and actively seek to maintain positive relationshipsPresent information in a clear, structured, concise and tailored way by focusing on key messages and check that messages are understood and meet audience needsTo be successful, you'll have: Completion of a Diploma level qualification with relevant work experience or a certificate level qualification with post-certificate relevant work experience.Completion of a Degree without subsequent relevant work experience; orAn equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Health or other relevant area.Experience and ability to assist in the delivery and development of responsive programs in a university or secondary school environmentHere's how to apply: Please submit your updated resume and a short cover letter outlining your skills and experience.
