We are seeking a skilled Trades Assistant to join our Facilities Maintenance team at our regional Western Australia site. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting minor repairs, maintaining facilities and equipment, and providing essential support services.
Key Responsibilities: Conducting minor repairs on buildings and structures, such as fixing leaks, broken windows, or doors.Ensuring that common areas, restrooms, and workspaces are clean and sanitary.Maintaining and repairing hand tools, power tools, and equipment.Performing routine inspections and maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns.Fixing minor plumbing issues such as leaks or blockages.Assisting with basic electrical tasks, such as replacing light bulbs or fuses.Assisting with the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.Conducting regular safety inspections of the site and reporting hazards.Ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.Providing support to other departments as needed, such as helping with logistics or transportation.Managing supplies and materials inventory, ensuring necessary items are in stock.Requirements: Certifications in areas like plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, or other relevant trades.Proven experience in maintenance, handyman, or trades assistant roles, preferably in industrial or mining environments.Proficiency in using hand and power tools, basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance skills.Ability to diagnose and repair issues quickly and efficiently.Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.Self-motivated and capable of working without constant supervision.Australian Driver's License.About ISS: ISS is a leading global workplace experience and facility management company.
