Infection Prevention & Control Coordinator - Launceston Key co-working Infection Prevention and Control role within a small Quality and Risk Management team Permanent, part time, 0.8 FTE Excellent salary packaging options available About the role The Infection Prevention & Control Coordinator will be responsible for providing operational leadership and management within Calvary St Vincent's and St Luke's campuses, to ensure high standards of infection prevention and control practices to ensure positive patient outcomes and a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
Duties within the role may include project assessment, monitoring, evaluation and reporting on IPC risks and outcomes. This is in conjunction with maintaining relevant accreditation standards relating to infection prevention control.
Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, evaluate and report on key IPC activities to meet the requirements of local, state and national protocols and guidelines Undertake surveillance, investigations and audits including regular reporting and feedback to staff Provide collaborative leadership and expert advice pertaining to organisational IPC risks, including outbreak and contact tracing events What you bring Registered Nurse with post-graduation experience Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) Bachelor of Nursing Degree Demonstrated knowledge of HICMR, ACHS, quality improvement and risk management Person centred approach to supporting staff & patients in communicating IPC risks and system features Highly developed skills in communication (verbal, written and IT), problem solving & conflict resolution An ability to demonstrate leadership skills, work as part of the team, work effectively under pressure and prioritise workload For more information, please feel free to contact Michelle Turner, Manager of Patient Safety & Experience via email
