Our café is a beloved neighborhood spot with a rich history of over 40 years, recently reopened to serve our community with classic fish and chips, delicious burgers, wraps, sandwiches, Thai Cuisine and unique Indian-flavored fusion dishes. We have a full-time chef and barista. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced manager to manage our day-to-day operations including but not limited to - inventory management, staff roster, socials and marketing, attend front end customer service/reception and implementing plans for growth of the Cafe.
The duties include:
Consistently provides a quality product and customer service experience that delivers total customer satisfaction. Models and creates an environment in which the customer is always right; ensures a positive customer service experience.
-Responding positively and quickly to customer concerns. Correcting potential problems before they affect customers.
-Hiring high quality people who demonstrate and ensure consistent customer satisfaction.
-Ensures all employees are trained, motivated and empowered to deliver total customer satisfaction. Evaluates each employee's ability to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
-Maintains restaurant at the level necessary to meet or exceed the company standards for Quality, Service and Cleanliness.
-Utilizes labor effectively to meet budgets while ensuring high quality.
- Organizing Party's and Functions according customer needs and satisfaction
- Providing suggestions to the Chef to prepare and improve the menu.
- Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage. Have stock control procedures implemented and maintained.
-Continuously improves the skills, knowledge and morale of all employees. He or she treats the employees with dignity and respect; creates an environment where the entire team does the same.
-Effectively utilizes all training programs from new employee orientation up to and including management training classes.
-Evaluates each employee's performance based on clearly communicated standards and expectations. The RM holds the employees accountable for performance. The RM makes tough decisions regarding all performance related issues in the restaurant; confronts poor performance.
-Maximizes financial performance and profit.
-Executes companywide marketing programs, initiates programs on time, correctly and with minimal direction.
-Identifies and develops local restaurant marketing strategies to maximize sales.
-Ensures business and personnel practices are within the law and consistent with policies and procedures.
-Serves as a role model and sets a positive example for the entire team in all aspects of business and personnel management.
-Enforces all labor laws (federal, state and local).
-Follows procedures to maintain the safety and security of all employees, customers and company assets (building, cash, equipment, supplies).
-Upholds company food safety, food handling and sanitation requirements, to ensure the health and safety of our customers and employees
Menu Development: Collaborate in developing and refining menu items, incorporating customer feedback
Food Quality and Safety: Maintain the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Inventory Control: Manage inventory, order supplies, and control costs to minimize waste and ensure a well-stocked kitchen.
Staff Supervision: supervise, and support kitchen staff, including a daily kitchen hand, to maintain efficiency and effectiveness in the kitchen.
Organization: Excellent organizational and time management skills. Creativity: Creative in developing and refining menu items.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure high standards of food quality and safety.
Availability: Must be available for immediate start.
Hours: Full-time position with the expectation to work early mornings, weekdays, and extended hours on weekends.
