Job Brief:

Nature of Employment: Permanent full time position

Working Hours: 38 hours per week Monday to Friday

Salary Range: AUD 80,000 to 90,000 per year + superannuation

Position Overview: We are looking for a Cabinetmaker to join our team to help us continue delivering high quality products to our customers.

Responsibilities: Reviewing blueprints, job orders, and sample components to identify requirements.Choosing and utilizing materials like timber, veneers, particle board, and engineered wood.Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood.Creating furniture based on designs and detailed instructions.Crafting fixtures for boats, caravans, and other objects requiring precision.Constructing parts to build sections of furniture and final products.Installing hinges, locks, latches, drawers, and shelves.Building frames for chairs and sofas.Potentially repairing and restoring furniture and antiques. Skills Required: Education and Training: Completion of a relevant apprenticeship or trade school program.Experience: Proven experience in cabinetmaking or carpentry.Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.Expertise in using woodworking tools and machinery.Ability to measure, cut, and assemble wood with precision.Physical Stamina: Capability to handle physically demanding tasks.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in work.Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the construction process.Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety standards and practices in woodworking.
