We are looking for an experienced cabinet maker and/or workshop foreman to join our growing business. We are a well-established, family-owned and operated cabinet making business on the Fraser Coast, with a strong client base and reputation.In this hands-on role, you will apply your exceptional cabinet making skills to guide our team to create high-quality joinery for our clients, who include several major builders in the Hervey Bay area. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in cabinet making, attention to detail, and experience managing a team.Your responsibilities will include…Constructing high quality cabinetry – predominantly kitchensOperating power tools and machinery safely and effectively (e.g. table saw, mitre saw, edge bander)Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshopMonitoring job progress to meet project deadlines, ensuring quality and accuracySupervising and managing a small team of cabinet makers, encouraging productivity and positive work cultureWhat we are looking for…Trade qualification in cabinet making (Certificate III in Cabinet Making or equivalent)Minimum of 3 years of post-apprenticeship experienceExcellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality finishesAbility to read and interpret workshop drawings and specificationsStrong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectivelyExperience managing/supervising a team in a manufacturing environment, or desire to move into this roleManual driver's licenceForklift licence – preferred but not necessaryWhy work with us?Competitive salary, based on experienceFull-time position (38 hours/week)Permanent, long-term opportunityWeekly pay, with the opportunity for overtime if desired12.30pm finish on FridaysRelocation assistance considered for the right candidateIf this position sounds like a good fit for you, we encourage you to apply!
