Working for a company that has a "solution" sales approach, the BDM will be responsible for adopting a holistic approach to meet the clients' needs. You will be involved from start to finish, with the ability and in-house knowledge to go from design, construction, implementation, and preventative maintenance.
Leverage your technical expertise to deliver innovative, customized solutions that propel our clients' success. Your previous experience working within the Mining, Industrial, or Marine industry will be valuable. With full product training and ongoing support from skilled technical staff, you'll excel in a team-driven environment that fosters collaboration and values your contributions. Responsibilities include: Building strong rapport and effectively managing ongoing client relationships using consultative selling techniques and follow-up. Adhering to established sales processes and company procedures, ensuring effective and consistent sales strategies are implemented. Researching and developing new business opportunities. Identifying, evaluating, and pursuing new business opportunities. Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle. Building and maintaining customer relationships with new and existing clients. Developing quotes, presentations, and sales proposals to prospective clients. Assisting in the tendering process. Using data, market insights, and creativity to identify opportunities, refine strategies, and resolve client issues effectively. Attending industry networking events, conferences, and other business opportunities to positively represent the company and drive brand awareness. Exhibiting exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Being flexible with working hours and demands. Possessing competent computer literacy skills and CRM experience. Working with a skilled and knowledgeable team who are technically savvy. Receiving full support and product training. Enjoying an outstanding base salary with a company vehicle or vehicle allowance. Receiving a discretionary bonus based on annual company results. Working in a metro-based position with occasional travel as required. Helping the client with their needs through solution selling. Being involved in the entire sales process from start to finish. Working general hours from 8 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. About you: You will have an energetic and enthusiastic approach to delivering client solutions. Work with your team on options to best suit each client. You will be client-focused and outcome-driven, with a service delivery sales background rather than product sales.
To be successful, you will have a genuine desire to work with people and provide exceptional customer service and technical support. You will be a customer-focused, sales-oriented technical expert, with a passion for understanding market trends and identifying opportunities for growth and product development.
No trade background or knowledge is required, though a minimum of 3 years of sales experience within the Mining, Marine, Oil & Gas, or Industrial sectors is a MUST.
