Reporting to the CMO as our footwear & accessories buyer, you will be responsible for identifying brands and trends that best represent General Pants and our customer's lifestyle.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial eye with the confidence and experience to implement strategies that drive continued market share growth for your categories and General Pants.
Key Responsibilities: Leverage a deep understanding of the GP customer to identify current and emerging trends which shape and influence product developmentDevelop a compelling product and brand offering that differentiates us from the competitionPartner with the wider buying team to deliver a cohesive offeringSource and develop new and exciting brands, incubate ranges, create brand experiences and leverage great relationships with both our branded suppliers and vertical designersChallenge the status quo with innovative thinking supported and backed by dataCommercially manage stock flow, whilst delivering a high-performance and profitable brand matrixIn conjunction with the marketing and visual merchandise teams, develop effective and relevant communications to the consumerDevelop and foster strong and mutually beneficial long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholdersThe Must Haves: Minimum three years' + experience at a Buyer levelAn excellent understanding of the streetwear marketGreat influencer, strong negotiator and outstanding communicator in both verbal and written communication - can get the best out of people and suppliersProven track record of the development of both individuals and teams for successStrong analytical skills and a depth of experience in consumer insights and researchDemonstrated experience in vendor and supplier managementStrong experience in managing high profile brandsDegree, Tertiary or Fashion qualification is highly desirableWhy Join us?
