Full-time Buyer position available in Kings Park NSW 2148 Europe Imports Pty Ltd mainly specializes in developing materials for swimming pool construction and developing mosaic installation systems for underwater conditions. We are looking for a full time Buyer who can join our team.
The position is to be responsible for the negotiation of the goods that are purchased for the Business.
Including, coordinate the overall operation of Business's purchasing and merchandise planning function to ensure products are provided at the most competitive rates.
Duties and Responsibilities Analysing market trends to develop the product and promotional opportunities through research, product history, current trends, and competitor activity. Sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring prompt delivery of the Business' products.
Identify new opportunities, performance, and discounts to achieve reduced supply chain costs for all products displayed on the shelves.
Identify, control, and develop merchandise planning processes and practices, to ensure the Business obtains the best value for expenditure on goods and services and seek ways to improve efficiencies and ensure merchandise planning compliance and budgetary requirements.
Actively monitor sales across the organization identifying any deficiencies and recommend any improvements.
Develop, compile, reconcile, and/ or update information in vendor and stock databases to provide effective processing, information management and reporting.
Provide support to any staff on procurement matters, long-term planning, sales promotions and changing market conditions.
Provide staff training and control for merchandise processes, procedures and guidelines as required.
Audit and provide key advice in developing, reviewing and implementing merchandise planning, pricing, marketing and promotional, display strategies and overall processes and practice.
Liaise with Business' suppliers for products to determine quantity, style and quality and to ensure the most up-to-date data is available for the supply of goods and services.
Drafting and negotiation of contracts and subsequent administration.
Preparation of Contract changes and amendments and review of submissions from providers for conformity to contract specifications.
Preparation of reports and presentations to management as required.
Skills and Requirements Relevant Qualification Minimum 1 year of experience Commercial awareness Confidence Ability to make decisions Ability to cope with pressure Maths skills.
IT skills Good teamworking skills Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $75,000 - $95,000 p.a.
plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
