About the Opportunity The Business Unit Support Officer provides a high standard of administrative support to the Water and Sewer Department. The position coordinates the business unit's meetings, phone calls, document management, purchasing and internal system requirements in an effective and efficient manner. The collection, collation and maintenance of data is another important function. Providing high level customer service to residents and contractors and working with team members to improve business unit efficiency is paramount. Areas of accountability include customer service, administration, data management, budgeting, purchasing, reporting, document management and project functions. The Business Support Officer will act in a professional manner at all times and adhere to Murray River Policies, Procedures and Department work processes.
What you need to be successful: Extensive experience in business administration or relevant area providing high level administrative support.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.Proficiency in diary management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.Current Manual Driver's Licence.Working with Children's Check NSW.National Police Check.Pre-employment Medical.Desirable:Certificate III in Business Administration.Willingness to undertake further training and upskilling.Knowledge of various software programs including TechOne, Trim, CM9, mapping databases, Microsoft suite of products.Experience in a similar role within Local Government.Further information: A copy of the position description and tips on applying can be found on this page, or for more information, please contact Phil Smith – Manager Water Services – 1300 087 004.
