The Research Infrastructure Team within the Faculty of Medicine and Health are seeking a Biobank and Clinical Cohorts Coordinator to support in the implementation of the strategic biobank framework which will be the first of its kind, facilitating initiatives, and projects to standardise the procedures for use and maintenance within the faculty.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
be involved in a high-level operating model for the strategic implementation of a biospecimen/biobank frameworkprovide high level support in the strategic implementation of the programcollaborate with stakeholders within the schools, hospitals, and collaborators, to support meeting priorities and objectives of Biobank facility developmentresearch business case recommendations, and papers related to the projects and initiatives impacting the compliance, safety, and efficiency in using and maintaining the Biobank facilitiesidentify and analyse emerging risks to Biobank facilities and recommends mitigation, minimisation, and elimination strategies and procedures.About you To be successful in this role, you:
have fantastic writing and communication abilities, with experience writing and curating business reports and proceduresunderstand biobank governance requirementspossess demonstrable project coordination skills, and experience with change plans and programspossess knowledge of state and federal laws related to biobanking, including (not limited to) the NSW Human Tissue Act and the NHMRC National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Researchpossess accuracy, attention to detail, planning and analysis skills together with problem-solving and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgementcan work both independently and as part of a team, taking the initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work.Sponsorship / work rights for Australia Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
