This position is based in our West End office.
The Business Support Officer will provide professional, quality and timely business and administrative advice, coordination and support to the division with respect to management of human resources, finances, information technology, assets, purchasing and general administration. The role will develop, monitor and evaluate systems and processes to ensure the effective operation and continuous improvement of the Division's resources. The role will support the department's commitment to create Thriving Communities.
The role will assist the Manager Business Services and work as part of the Business Services team to provide business and administration support to the division.
The Business Support Officer will assist the department to achieve its vision through a performance driven and customer focused culture that delivers results, whilst displaying the core public sector values of customers first; ideas into action; unleash potential; be courageous; and empower people.
The position requires a person who will take personal responsibility for serving the government of the day and meeting the needs of the people and communities of Queensland. You will work towards a system of world class service delivery and public sector management.
You will have a record of success and a strong background in providing business and administration support to a large and geographically dispersed team. With strong organisational skills and high attention to detail, you will have extensive experience across the public, private and/or not-for-profit sectors.
