The Health Information Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Business Support Officer to join their team on a temporary basis.
Your opportunity To provide support to the Health Information Services Management Team.To provide leadership, management and direction to the administration staff within Health Information Services ensuring the delivery of such services professionally and efficiently whilst ensuring that operational effectiveness and positive consumer experience is maintained.About the Team Health Information Services (HIS) provides specialist services that embrace the overall commitment to the management and provision of quality patient information to the Mackay Hospital and Health Service.
The service is comprised of the following key areas: Health Information Management, Clinical Coding, Data Quality, Information Access, Scanning Unit, Medical Typing, Corporate Records, Mail Room and the Switchboard. HIS reports to the Executive Director Corporate Services.

The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
