Business Solutions Analyst Hamilton Island is looking for an experienced Business Solutions Analyst to join the IT team working from our Sydney based office located in St Leonards.

In this role, activities will include the more advanced or complex (based on size, scale, cost) assignments and include the project management and implementation of new systems.
You will also: Work with users and other Architects, particularly on larger projects, to define the requirements of an application and specify an optimum design Meet with user groups to gather and analyse end user requirements Develop functional specifications that design and document desired outcome of the system enhancement/development Produce technical specifications to communicate user requirements in technical terms to analyst programmers/project team or vendor Recommend suitable software packages, analysing systems and data Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the overall efficiency, functionality and user friendliness of system enhancement/development Prepare material and provide training and assistance to end-users following implementation Work as a crucial component of a project team responsible for enhancing existing systems or developing new systems Perform analytical assignments as required by IT management, particularly in areas of difficulty/critical need About You You are respectful, trustworthy and care for the safety and well-being of others.

You will have: Advanced skills and considerable experience in the evaluation of equipment and software options Good understanding of the current hospitality IT systems environment Project planning and specification skills, together with problem solving and analysis 5 years experience in software administration and implementation, with at least 3 years in systems specification and design, coupled with tertiary qualifications in computer science or a related discipline Has been a member of a project delivery team that has successfully delivered a major business solution (applications systems) into production Sound technical specification writing/documentation skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong customer service focus Strong attention to detail About Us Part of the Whitsundays and in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, Hamilton Island is one of Australia's most spectacular and sought-after holiday destinations.
