Business Resilience Manager - Full-Time Permanent Position - Sydney CBDBe the trusted and reliable business continuity expert and partner at Uniting.Take end-to-end ownership of the business continuity and emergency management planning program for a whole of organisation's comprehensive approach.Develop and embed Uniting's enterprise resilience framework aligned with industry standards.Uniting NSW.ACT is committed to ensuring the safety, continuity, and resilience of our operations, even in the face of the most challenging circumstances.
We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Resilience Manager to join our Risk and Assurance team.
This pivotal role reports directly to the Head of Risk and Assurance and holds responsibility for shaping, implementing, and continually improving Uniting's enterprise resilience programs.As a leader in this space, you'll guide the development of emergency management planning, business continuity, and crisis management strategies across the organisation.
Your work will safeguard Uniting's operations, people, and reputation in line with best practices, frameworks, and industry standards.Extensively working with Services, WHS, Property, IT and other key functions to ensure all parties are prepared for major disruptions and emergencies, and compliant with regulations.
Preparation of advice, reports, risk and threat assessments, business impact analysis, business continuity tools, templates and resources.
Meet all compliance and reporting requirements to the Executive and Board Committees of Uniting.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and manage Uniting's enterprise resilience frameworks (emergency management, business continuity, and crisis management).Provide expert advice and tools, such as risk assessments, business impact analyses, and resilience resources.Guide functional and operational leaders in planning and responding to emergencies, disasters, and business disruptions.Act as a crisis leader and provide technical advice on incident response and recovery.Ensure that Uniting's resilience program meets governance requirements and reporting to the Executive, Committees, and Board.Coordinate education and training to ensure staff are prepared for their resilience responsibilities.Monitor emerging risks, domestic and international standards, and lead thinking in the resilience space to keep Uniting's strategies current and robust.Success Measures:Effective implementation of a business resilience program with clear ownership across business units.Proactive threat monitoring and timely communication with stakeholders.Resilience plans remain up to date, tested, and responsive to emerging risks.Strong relationships with external emergency planning service providers.Positive stakeholder feedback on risk and resilience strategies.Qualifications & Experience:Tertiary or professional qualifications relevant to business resilience, risk management, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in developing and operationalising enterprise resilience frameworks in large, multi-site organisations.Extensive experience in business resilience management design and implementation, aligned with ISO standards.Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work within changing priorities.Desirable:Membership in professional bodies like BCI (Business Continuity Institute).Experience implementing business resilience management systems across an organisation.What We Offer You:A rewarding career with a leading human services organisation.Up to $18,550 NFP salary packaging available.Access to our U rewards program with exclusive discounts.Flexible work hours for work-life balance.Access to Fitness Passport – Live your best life.A supportive and inclusive and collaborative work environment.Opportunities for professional growth.Purchase of additional leave.Employment with Uniting is subject to satisfactory background checks which may include a national police check, reference checks, working with children checks, and NDIS checks.#J-18808-Ljbffr
