How you'll make an impact

The purpose of the Business Operations Officer function is to lead strategic planning and member outcomes processes, ensuring operational effectiveness, governance, reporting and monitoring frameworks are implemented:
Provide support for the implementation of strategic plans and ongoing business performance monitoring including supporting strategy and planning where needed;Ensure appropriate and effective risk and governance frameworks are established including management of relevant committees;Be accountable for accurate and timely performance reporting, working collaboratively across various business units including finance, product, marketing and risk;Forward plan and maintain regular operating rhythms including orchestration of deliverables and actions relating to accountable individuals from Boards and Committees; andTake ownership of matters as directed by the Senior Manager of Business Operations or HO Business Management Main Focus Areas: Orchestrate and develop key business supervision and performance monitoring frameworks/reporting;Assist with writing / development of regular reporting requirements, Board papers, and powerpoint packs to enable effective decision making by senior leadership and relevant Boards / Committees;Co-ordinate and manage the completion and record keeping for all Board / Committee actions for both the Group Executive Superannuation & Investments, and Group Executive Platforms.Assist with the logistics / operations of key Management committees including annual calendars, agendas, collating materials, resolving actions, minutes and Terms of Reference which enable governance for Group Executives;Apply business disciplines, maintain oversight of all governance activities and calendars across the business to ensure appropriate planning and sequencing i.e. cycle alignment to ExCo, AMP Ltd Board, Superannuation Trustee Board, and other related Committees;Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective governance operationalisation across the Superannuation & Investments Team and Platforms Team business including, Conflicts, Delegations, Accountabilities, Reporting, Continuity plans etc;Facilitate engagement and requirements between the and Superannuation Trustee Office; as well as other cross-functional teams, ie. ERM, Operations, andSupport special projects as required, ie. Governance Uplift; responses to Regulator/s; Product initiatives. What you will bring to the team

Ideally, you will bring the following experiences to this role:
Minimum 5 years financial / industry experience;Strong understanding of key issues that affect the Superannuation, Investments and Platforms Industry;Experience writing Board papers, reporting, conducting analysis and implementing solutions,Experience working in a cross functional team; andProficient in all Microsoft Office tools, ie. word, powerpoint and excel spreadsheets.Strong understanding of industry, regulatory and competitor issues.Strong financial/business acumen and good understanding of AMP's businesses.Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to think laterally, strategically and tactically where appropriate.Continuous improvement mindset and driving implementation of resolutions.Detailed organisational and prioritisation skills.Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the capability of creating materials (Board papers, Powerpoint packs, Minutes, Spreadsheets. Graphs/Charts) for the Executive Leadership Team, and relevant Boards / Committees.Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strategic working relationships, influence, negotiate with and persuade senior stakeholders.Strong ability to multi-task and remain focused and accountable for completion of tasks.Strong customer focus (internal & external).Desire to lead by example and be adaptable, innovative and work with ambiguity.
