The team Registry and Intelligence (R&I) is comprised of the following teams – Registry Operations, Intelligence (which includes Regulatory Insights & Assessment, Strategic Planning & Intelligence, Business Innovation & Improvement, and Information & Knowledge Resource Centre) International and Business Management Unit.
These teams drive an intelligence led regulatory approach using data informed insights and intelligence.
The teams do this by providing efficient and accessible business registers, assessing reports lodged with ASIC, managing information and data flowing into and created by ASIC and leading our international engagement work.
The teams also innovate and identify opportunities to leverage data and insights to ensure ASIC makes better regulatory decisions.
This group is responsible for ASIC's physical libraries and archives, including SharePoint and digital subscriptions, as well as for ASIC's knowledge management function.
The role You will be accountable for: * Coordinating R&I Communication activities within team, providing input into Comms strategy, communication products to effectively promote the R&I group to stakeholders * Leading/Contributing to the R&I group's risk management activity including be the point of contact for the Risk Management unit * Manage R&I governance activities including undertaking internal reviews to ensure the Group's policies and procedures are up to date, maintaining myRad registers and breach notifications and provide reports to the senior management team * Taking ownership of group-wide projects or initiatives and delivering seamless end to end execution * Manage and effectively prioritise multiple projects or initiatives at any given time across a range of functions/disciplines * Identify and implement improvements to own work practices and the practices of the BMU * Coordinate, monitor and report on the activities and action items for the Privacy Champions, and if required act as Privacy Champion for the BMU * Displaying strong leadership skills and sound judgement, ability to coach and mentor junior team members About you * A tertiary or vocational qualification.
* Ability to partner and work effectively with other ASIC teams to meet objectives * Ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and stakeholders * Experience working in a communications role/ environment will be highly favourable * Experience in managing risk, governance or compliance activities in a corporate or government environment highly regarded * Experience collaborating and working effectively with Senior executives and teams to meet objectives.
* Proactive, effective at prioritising and delivering multiple initiatives * Strong analytical thinking and analysis skills * Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint * Well-developed organisational, coordination and time management skills * Ability to communicate effectively to all audiences in both written and verbal formats to achieve intended purposes * Experience collaborating and work effectively with other ASIC teams to meet objectives * Understanding of ASIC's role within the Government and regulatory context * Experience working in financial services/ regulatory environment About ASIC ASIC is Australia's corporate, markets, financial services and consumer credit regulator.
