Role Overview
The Business Manager will support the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and the senior leadership team by providing strategic and operational oversight. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-level strategic planning, manage and coordinate key forums and initiatives, and ensure effective communication and reporting.

Support with strategic initiatives across the business and collaborate with the Risk & Compliance leadership team
Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities
Develop and deliver high level strategic planning support and advice to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) through research and analysis of industry trends and internal data.
Manage the coordination and input for Risk & Compliance (R&C), including team meetings, town halls, board meetings and support strategic initiatives across the business.
Develop reports based on research for communication to leadership team and provide ongoing support to CRO e.g. preparing presentation packs, publications and proposals, information bulletins and content management for employee briefings/forums.
Develop and manage communication processes and practices regarding organisational changes across the division.
Deliver support for operational meetings including the team strategic agenda and plan, workforce planning, budget planning, board meetings and external industry forums attended by the CRO.
Collaborate with the team on key projects and strategic initiatives.
Coordinate cross-functional teams and resources to achieve project objectives.
Identify and maintain a record of vendors used in Risk & Compliance (R&C) with their term, spend, renewal date and actions required.
Analyse and report on team workflow, projects and staff development programs to the CRO.
Assist with communication and status updates relating to major R&C incidents working with the CRO and R&C senior leadership team to develop a coordinated response.
Successfully collaborate with the CRO and R&C Senior Leadership team through a regular cadence of communication and collaboration.
Manage and cultivate good working relationships with the R&C Senior Leadership team and internal departments across Finance, Legal, HR & Technology.
Achievement of business objectives and the maintenance of ongoing regulatory compliance.
Assist in the review and communication of any procedural or policy changes/implementations driven by legislative and or business change.
Collaborate with internal departments to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with departmental operations and projects.
Experience & Personal Attributes
Previous experience as a Business Manager or Chief of Staff in a complex, matrix, global organization.
Degree qualified in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field.
Experience within Financial Services & Fin Tech is desirable.
Experience in developing presentations, board reports, budget information.
Demonstrated experience in a management or supervisory role, including overseeing teams, managing projects, and coordinating business operations.
Experience in developing and executing strategic plans, with a proven ability to support organisational growth and change.
Experience interacting with senior leaders, clients, and other stakeholders, including preparing and presenting reports and strategic recommendations.
Action and results focused with a high-level of planning and a proven ability to work across and manage multiple in-flight projects.
Ability to influence others, facilitate consensus and move stakeholders toward a common vision or goal and gain buy-in.
Critical thinking and strong people management focus. Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills and strong problem-solving capability.
