Details: Harrison School is seeking a Business Manager to join our leadership team. The Business Manager plays a pivotal role within the school community and the school improvement agenda, ensuring a safe and positive environment where students thrive. This role supports the principal and collaborates as part of the senior leadership team and school community to enhance student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to support the school's goals.Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and facilities management.Manage HR functions, including staff development and performance management.Foster effective communication and engagement with stakeholders.Handle procurement processes and contract management.Ensure adherence to legislative requirements while managing risks.Provide strategic advice to the principal and lead both day-to-day and strategic operations.Drive continuous service improvement.Manage support and administration staff to achieve business objectives, set priorities, monitor workflow, and develop school-based procedures.Given the dynamic nature of educational settings, the successful candidate must excel in prioritization and workflow monitoring in line with Directorate policies and procedures. Exceptional communication and liaison skills are essential for engaging with various stakeholders. Asbestos Awareness Training is a mandatory requirement of this role. Asbestos Awareness Training and evidence of completion delivered by a Registered Training Organisation is required before (or upon) commencement.
Notes: This is a permanent position available from 1 December 2024. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
