Eden Ritchie is seeking a Business Manager, Finance to lead and manage all aspects of the operational activities of the group including financial reporting and budgeting requirements. You will identify and mitigate business risks and provide sound financial advice to senior leaders.

6 month contract Brisbane CBD location As the Business Manager, Finance, your key responsibilities will include: Deliver on all operational financial budgetary and reporting requirements for Major Projects Delivery including financial planning and progressive forecasting, measuring, monitoring and reporting monthly business financial performance, debtor management, end of financial year requirements, risk reporting and preparation of key financial information for corporate documents such as Service Delivery Statements, Capital Statements, Budget Papers and Annual Reports. Provide expert advice and support to the Director, Executive Director and General Manager on a range of operational and strategic business issues including financial assessments, records and document management, risk management and governance strategies and initiatives. Undertake research, critically analyse business opportunities, develop and articulate financial and resourcing strategies along with appropriate tools to facilitate the effective use of financial, physical and human resources, to support the ongoing viability of the business area. Assist the Project Director Finance in managing the provision of comprehensive financial reports for clients, project boards and other stakeholders on major capital projects and programs, to facilitate project completion, manage funding and reporting deliverables within program and budget constraints in line with established governance frameworks. Facilitate and lead strategic and organisational change initiatives including the implementation of appropriate consultation processes with stakeholders to achieve the strategic and business outcomes for Major Projects. Proactively contribute to business system improvement and development activities, including: maintain and regularly review system processes to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and audit quality outcomes, and ensure guidelines and procedures are documented and up to date; assist with scoping business requirements for the financial functionality components of a project and contract management system; identify and assess the suitability of potential technology solutions for alignment with current and future business requirements including Microsoft applications such as Excel and Power Apps; and take a lead role in the implementation of suitable systems solutions. Oversee the management of the integrity of Major Project Delivery's financial accounting records and systems, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, legislative and departmental requirements. Technical/operational expertise: Ability to lead, manage and inspire the day-to-day management of the financial management and business management functions within Major Project Delivery including systems, processes and strategies to ensure effective deployment and management of business area resources (people, funding, equipment etc). Demonstrated personal responsibility in meeting objectives, including the ability to recognise and resolve complex, ambiguous and political issues impacting on the achievement of outcomes. Demonstrated experience delivering high quality project management, financial, procurement and governance tools and reports including the ability to research and critically analyse business development opportunities to develop and articulate financial and resourcing strategies. Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel and Power Apps to enhance data analysis, reporting, and process automation. Evidence of the establishment and maintenance of positive working relationships and partnerships with intra-agency, inter-agency and external stakeholders to ensure effective project outcomes. Ability to provide advice, guidance and training to the team, ensuring that the team is adhering to all policies and standards and effectively using established systems and tools.
