Biodiversity Australia is seeking an experienced Business Manager for the Fauna Unit operations, based within the SE Queensland region.

About the role This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Fauna Unit and overseeing projects within the SE Queensland Region and further afield.
The successful applicant will have outstanding experience in business management within the Environmental and/or Construction industry.
It would be considered an advantage if you have knowledge of Zoology, the Fauna Spotter Industry, or with Pest Animals.
The position requires exceptional client engagement skills including business development as well as team management with a focus on quality of works and project delivery.
Understanding of budgets and tender submissions along with reporting to Senior Management outlining financial and non-financial performance on your unit is also a significant part of the general management of the Fauna Unit.
Those who have a minimum of 3-5 years experience managing multiple construction projects including budgets, quality control, and team culture are likely to be strong candidates for this role.

Ideally have Zoology experience, however this is not essentialOperationally / Business mindedStrong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilityExperience with maintaining and building client relationshipsStrong Leadership qualities that contribute to a positive team cultureUnderstanding and developing tender submissionsUnderstanding, maintaining, and reporting on budgets for your unitStrong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
You must possess the following credentials:
Construction industry safety induction card (White Card)Driver's licence (manual)Appropriate tertiary or accreditation in an area relevant to the business unit
The remuneration for this role is negotiable and initially will be based on proven skillset and experience.
