Fixed term, full-time - 5 year Contract Salary (Level 8 Officer): $128,522 to $137,155 per annum inclusive of annual leave loading plus superannuation Rostered day off per month Flexible work options Based in Hilton on the city fringe The role of the Business Lead Management Accounting, Projects and Systems is to manage, lead and provide guidance and support to the Financial Services team members (management accounting, projects and systems) ensuring appropriate financial procedures are developed, implemented and reviewed.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Managing the development and review of the long term financial plan.Systems administrator for Technology One Financials.Managing Council bank accounts, ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet Council's financial requirements.Providing expert and consultative advice to managers with individual budgets and budget reviews.Managing the reconciliation of financial position accounts and review/clear all suspense/temporary account balances.Who you are If you have significant experience and a thorough knowledge of general accounting principles along with a high level of skill/ability in the use of spreadsheets and corporate accounting systems we want to hear from you.
We are looking for experienced candidates who have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships.
Candidates will need to have obtained a relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
While not mandatory, a CPA/CA professional qualification or equivalent is also highly desired and would be advantageous.
In addition, in accordance with the requirements of this role, a "Class C" driver's licence and national police clearance (within six months of issue) will be required as part of the recruitment process.
