The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a data enthusiast with a passion for turning raw information into actionable insights. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in our organisation by analysing data, creating reports, and providing strategic recommendations to drive business growth. Main Duties/Responsibilities
Write SQL queries to facilitate data extraction and manipulationDevelop BI reports and dashboards to assist Sportsbook and Racing operations, Risk management, Trading, Commercial and Product teams on their day to day activitiesPerform audience management for AU marketing campaigns and post implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaignsProvide high quality advice and timely support to the Australian Information Technology Team and the Australian businessBe responsive and customer oriented in all communications and to form strong relationships across the company.Maintain the reporting framework, automate reports and dashboards wherever possible and constantly review and improve existing reports.Liaise between the marketing, trading teams to understand their requirements and apply appropriate data analysis techniques to solve business problemsConduct strategic piece of analytical work for example VIP flagging, customer portfolio review etc.Ad hoc data extraction, manipulation & analysis for the purpose of insights and recommendations.Essential Educational and / or Training Qualifications & Certificates
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline (preferred)Preferred Experience and Knowledge
Minimum 5 years experience in delivering data visualisations, writing complex SQL queriesDemonstrated experience in AWS Quicksight or Power BISQL or any database knowledgePython is advantageous but not mandatoryTechnical and Functional Skills
Experience with agile development methodologies including Kanban and Scrum Flexible, resilient, committed, passionate and able to work co-operatively.Ability to cope with competing demands and remain focused with competing priorities.Excellent time management and organisational skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Ability to relate to employees at all levels of the organisation.Ability to gain co-operation and commitment and work with remote teamsAdvanced user of Microsoft Office
