About The Role
The role of the Business Development Manager (BDM) is to generate new business by leveraging existing client relationships and acquiring new clients. This individual will work closely with the Lonsec Investment Solutions team to achieve new business growth for Lonsec in the WA/SA region.
Responsibilities: Work closely with the Regional Manager, Sales - South to execute on the Lonsec sales strategy;Prospect new accounts, gather company information, seek out company decision makers, generate interest and determine the potential for the sale of Lonsec products and services;Organise and attend appointments, follow up sales opportunities, create and execute product sales campaigns;Develop thorough and deep technical knowledge regarding the Lonsec Investment Solutions, Lonsec Research and SuperRatings offerings available to clients within the allocated portfolio of product responsibilities;Liaise with the various Lonsec subsidiaries to pass on potential sales leads, key contacts and opportunities;Provide creative ideas for increasing sales and business relationships to grow the business;Liaise with the Finance department to ensure accurate client invoicing and aged debtors' management;Compliance: liaising with legal and meeting all compliance standards; engage the Legal/compliance team if required for due diligence;Liaise with the IT department to ensure that the technical requirements of Lonsec subscribers are addressed. About you: A minimum of three to five years of experience as a sales person within the fund management sector, with previous sales and business development management or practice management experience highly regarded;Ability to effectively articulate the benefits of Lonsec's product offering to a discerning market;Ability to leverage existing relationships in the financial planning industry;Excellent communication, customer service and relationship management skills;Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines;Sound knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products and website navigation;Ability to work autonomously and as part of a close-knit team while taking responsibility for meeting team objectives and targets; What we offer: Ongoing flexible working arrangements;Family friendly work-life balance;Paid parental leave;Volunteer and Study leave;Genuinely open and supportive culture with an approachable executive team;Ongoing training and professional development;Wellness program (including an annual wellness reimbursement for all staff to put towards health and wellness-related activities);Social and charity events.
