Come and join BC Investment Group (BC Invest)! We are growing our Lending Sales team in Australia and are looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join the team.

The Company specializes in domestic mortgages to Australian resident borrowers for properties in Australia and in non-resident mortgages for properties in Australia and the UK. BC Invest has 6 global offices, including two offices in Australia: Melbourne and Sydney.
Key Objective
Identify and onboard a diverse network of referring mortgage brokers who actively promote the BC Invest suite of products to their target markets.
Maintain extensive knowledge of the full BC Invest product suite, credit policy, loan scenarios, applications, and underwriting processes to establish referrer trust and utilization.
Promote with clarity and confidence the BC Invest value proposition to the market, including to accredited and prospective referrers.
About the Role
This is a highly autonomous role which requires the BDM to leverage their established industry networks to identify and onboard an active and diverse referral network.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the full BC Invest product suite and value proposition, specifically as compared with ADIs and BC Invest's peers in the market.
Achieve lending targets and contribute to individual and portfolio growth, including product category, application, and settled volume targets.
Deliver ongoing training and education to referrers in respect of product solutions and performance to estimated referrer targets.
Deliver feedback to referrers in relation to referrer application quality, completeness, and portfolio performance.
Ensure a sound understanding of each referrer's business to identify solutions and service opportunities.
Conduct regular sales and opportunity workshops with referrers with clear objectives and outcomes.
Manage and leverage stakeholder relationships to deliver a comprehensive, competitive, and quality service experience to broker businesses.
Initiate channel engagement activities and Professional Development events to ensure the BC Invest brand and value proposition are promoted in the market.
Proactively seek lending scenarios and solutions with referrers, including consulting with the BC Invest Lending Team.
Respond to queries regarding product, policy, and process to make it easy for referrers to do business with BC Invest.
Meet with Aggregator group representatives to develop distribution opportunities.
Provide thoughtful and structured market intelligence back into the business on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for consideration.
Perform ad hoc tasks as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experienced within the Broker industry, mortgage, and credit products.
A self-starter with an established referrer network.
Proven history of performance and delivery to Key Performance Indicators.
An exceptional communicator with demonstrated stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Evidenced history of delivering to set targets.
Ability to think outside the box, focused on solutions to support referrers and customers.
Non-Bank BDM experience preferred.
