Shell Energy's Energy Solutions Division provides multiple products and services targeted at large energy consuming customers.
The objective of this role is to secure contracts with major customers that provide gross margin to the Energy Solutions business across the portfolio of services.Based in

Sydney ,

Melbourne

Brisbane , the core focus of this role will be targeting large customers and understanding the client's energy, business objectives and providing a behind the meter solution that brings Shell Energy's wide range of market offerings (e.g., energy management platform, demand response, solar/battery projects, environmental certificates, gas services and engineering services).The role reports to Team Leader – Storage and Infrastructure.
The role will require travel interstate (initially Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales).Major Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesObtaining a clear understanding of the Energy Solutions strategy and business objectives to be able to execute effectively in market;Setting client meetings with executive level and senior management to propose our services to major customers;Selling energy storage & renewable energy (Solar) projects in accordance with group targets;Lead origination and sales pipeline development;Being able to articulate the benefits and application of Shell Energy solar and energy storage solutions from a project implementation, financial & contractual position on behalf of Shell Energy Australia;Delivering solar and energy storage gross margin within ESOL to meet targets and create future growth for the business;Represent Shell Energy at external conferences and networking events;Adhering to Shell safety, purchasing and work process and procedures;Reporting and pipeline management within our internal customer relationship management systems.What you'll bringDemonstrated success in BESS and/or Solar PV, capex sales & Power Purchase agreements;Knowledge of batteries from a technical and sales perspective;Knowledge of energy wholesale markets and DNSP networks/tariffs - not mandatory but viewed favourably;Ability to manage client end to end sales process;Proven track record closing strategic sales with large customers;Ability to perform under pressure and deliver commercially sound outcomes;Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (phone and face-to-face);Microsoft excel knowledge;Willingness to adapt and learn, focus on core Shell principles Honesty, Integrity & Respect.Why join our teamEvery day, our people bring deep expertise, true innovation and investment to help our clients - and the world - reduce their environmental footprint.
