About the Role   We are seeking a Business Development Manager who is a proactive, target-driven individual with a passion for fostering client relationships, driving business growth, and exceeding goals. This role will identify, qualify, and close new business that results in substantial incremental revenue and margins.  As a primary business lead, you will be responsible for cultivating new relationships and maintaining existing ones for allocated accounts, driving customer retention, and actively generating leads across Australia.  
Experience you'll bring You've the ability to effectively communicate ideas and strategies, coupled with compelling presentation skills. You've proven capability in establishing and nurturing relationships across all organizational levels. You're target-oriented with a demonstrated track record of meeting and surpassing targets and KPIs, including pipeline metrics and opportunity coverage. You've proven experience in bid preparation and are proficiency in bid preparation, support, and submission processes. You've the ability to adeptly manage sales pipelines, forecasts, and opportunities within CRM systems. You're an expert in crafting business development plans that yield effective results. 
Responsibilities The role involves identifying and qualifying new customer opportunities, building strong professional relationships, and leveraging internal resources to strengthen Civica's credibility with customers. It involves researching industry strategies, acting as a trusted advisor, shaping deals early in the sales cycle, and advancing profitable revenue growth.
Experience in business development for the software industry is required. Exposure to the Local Government domain will be hihgly advantageous, your ability to build strong relationships at all levels is essential.
As Business Develpment Manager you will
Establish strong relationships across all levels of an organization, particularly in the Government sector Provide expertise when it comes to working with Enterprise IT vendors, preferably with SaaS solutions and ERP Be comfortable working with targets exceeding 2 Million TCV Meet and exceed KPIs, including pipeline metrics, opportunity coverage, wallet share, and acquisition plans Lead virtual bid teams to efficiently coordinate response proposals Work collaboratively in a selling environment with Account Managers Manage a sales pipeline, forecasting, and tracking opportunities within CRM systems Develop sales plans and driving effective results Utilize financial-selling techniques with customers and internally to demonstrate value and facilitate sales Stay up-to-date with industry trends and leads strategic discussions with IT stakeholders We welcome your unique talents, please apply for this role if it would make you excited to come to work every day.
