Will you actively create a healthier future for tomorrow? The Orthopaedic Institute (TOI) is a Medibank Joint Venture with a group of renowned orthopaedic surgeons (SydOrtho) and Macquarie University Hospital.
It is a world-class orthopaedic surgical centre, comprising of 28 beds and 4 operating suites focused on short stay orthopaedic procedures.
The Opportunity In this newly created role, you will work closely with the orthopaedic surgeons and the team at Macquarie University Hospital to develop and execute a BD strategy that supports the commercial growth of The Orthopaedic Institute.
You will work closely with the Deputy CEO and SydOrtho to help drive the vision of a short stay health service, deliver agreed initiatives, grow TOI volumes and improve the profile of TOI.
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Strategy, your key accountabilities will include:
Develop and deliver the orthopaedics marketing and communication activities for TOI.Work with the MUH marketing team to use social media platforms for advertising and story uploads regarding TOI.Identify and establish relationships with medical centres within the area.Recruit and onboard new specialists based on revenue profile requirements.Work with the VMOs to develop orthopaedic specific GP education and CPD process.Develop physiotherapist/allied health linkages.Foster strong relationships and collaborative teamwork with internal and external stakeholders.About you With a background in health and ideally experience working with/in Private Hospitals, you bring a wealth of business development skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage strategic programs.
You are comfortable in building relationships with VMOs, GPs, and other health professionals and work collaboratively to achieve commercial targets.
You possess a problem-solving mindset with the ability to engage with complex issues and identify opportunities and solutions.
Engaged initially on a 6-month contract (but may extend), and can be worked flexibly from Part Time (0.6 FTE) up to Full Time, working onsite at Macquarie University Hospital in Macquarie Park, NSW.
