With primary responsibilities across NSW and QLD, you will develop and nurture relationships with financial advisers to support and grow the distribution, primarily across NSW and QLD.Primary functions and key responsibilities include:Establish and maintain effective relationships with external financial planners, accountants, licensees, and other related parties who select Hostplus and its products for their clientsUndertake regular engagement with intermediaries to position and reinforce Hostplus as a provider of high-quality, member-centric, superannuation and other related services.Assist and support third party advisories with client inquiries, requests and escalations, and facilitate effective resolution.Provide one-on-one and group product training and associated ongoing support servicesDevelop, maintain and convert a sales and opportunities pipeline of prospective intermediary distribution partners.Set and achieve sales and retention targets as specified.Utilise existing networks to identify growth opportunities for Hostplus.Actively and confidently lead sales and distribution team participation in relevant forums, including initiatives impacting intermediary sales and distribution objectives.Represent Hostplus at industry conferences, tradeshows, roundtables, and other events as required.About youWe are seeking an energetic and self-driven candidate with experience and knowledge of the financial services sector, preferably intermediary distribution within the context of superannuation, wealth management or related financial services.As the ideal candidate for the position of Business Development Manager you will:Have highly developed sales, distribution and related stakeholder management skills and a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships internally and externally with clients, intermediaries and service providers.Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with distribution partners, their support staff and internal stakeholders, including confident presentation and public speaking abilities.Own the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and dedication to continuous learning, collaboration and embrace change.Work productively and efficiently to achieve key objectives and take responsibility and accountability for achieving outcomes.Have a sound understanding of the workings and operating models and practices of financial planners and the broader intermediary environment.A demonstrated understanding of and alignment with Hostplus' for member profit values and ethos.Have relevant qualifications including being RG146 compliant.Why work for us?Our employees are passionate about what we do and are proud to be part of an organisation which helps everyday Australians achieve a brighter future.
