Bring with them their own list of existing contacts in the construction and fitout industry. Create new contacts by word of mouth and research, face to face meetings to ensure future opportunities and work flow.Business Development Manager Roles & Responsibilities:The roles and responsibilities of a Business Development Manager for Premier Constructions & Interiors Pty Ltd are mainly concerned with increasing sales, the articulate management of our current clientele base and expanding the company's clientele base. The sole outcome is to increase opportunities and client contacts to bring in more suitable projects for quoting by the estimating team. Being very much a cost driven industry, relationships are more important than in an industry that is involved with hard selling.Job Description & Required Attributes:Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and servicesCreating strategies to successfully reach new clients and business opportunitiesBuilding relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs, ensuring PCI can meet those needsMaintaining and developing relationships with current clientsCalling and friendly chatting to new and existing clients, to keep in touch and push for new opportunities (rather than an endless blanketing of ignored emails)Organising face to face meetings with new and existing clients, sometimes over coffee or lunches, inviting the Director to such when deemed necessaryPossessing a strong understanding of the company's abilities, and strengths, the competition in the industry and positioning. Understanding the company's preferred specialisations and limits to avoid frustrations from clients issuing tenders beyond or not suitable to PCI's capabilities.Creating news snippets of each newly completed project of worth and blanket email through software all who are on PCI's contacts listTo be fully literate with the suite of Microsoft Office and ability to create news items as per point 8 above.Maintain the companies social media accounts posting completed projects of worth and any other worthy news items. Up dating and posting news on LinkedInManaging through CRM or Hubspot software all existing and newly sourced clientele. Making suitable notes of when contacted, outcomes and when to follow up again etcBeing very persistent and make appropriate enquiries to get the outcomes desiredUnderstanding of Construction, Building and fitout industryAttending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trendsCreating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching themOther:1. 9-5 position, or less hours prorate. In office position.
