Our client is looking for a passionate sales professional to join their growing team in Sydney as the Business Development Manager for their consumer line of products. Reporting to the National Sales Manager you will bring your expertise across sales, relationship management and customer service to this national role. 
What you'll be doing: Applying your critical thinking skills to plan, develop and identify new business opportunities to expand reach and drive profitable sales across the consumer range of products.Utilising your exceptional relationship management skills to support our existing customers while you develop relationships with new customers.Collaborating with senior leaders and technology experts within the business to create strategic solutions to our customers' needs.Applying your curiosity to research and identify sales pipelines and support campaigns across the mass retail and dealer channel markets.Learning all the time. Staying in sync with industry developments, market trends and with what your competitors are doing.Engaging your powers of influence and your comprehensive negotiation skills to close the deal and drive growth.Presenting compelling sales and marketing programs that create opportunities, open doors and persuade customers to come on board.Engaging your love for numbers and data to update the team on sales performance, market trends and your business developing efforts.Who we are looking for: A sales guru, ideally with 5+ years of sales experience with a technical background ideally with experience in the power generation industry, heavy machinery/equipment, tools, small engines, MHE, mechanical, electrical or mass retailing space.A passionate go-getter who thrives on solving problems and uncovering hidden opportunities. Someone familiar with B2B and mass retailer sales.A great networker and relationship builder with a knack for developing relationships at all levels, who can nurture existing relationships and build on new ones.Someone with strong commercial acumen - you understand the numbers that are going to make a difference to your profit margin. Communication and presentation skills that make people sit up and take notice.Someone with grit, tenacity and resilience. You aren't afraid to make the calls, get your hands dirty and get the job done.A self-starter, self-motivated professional who can work autonomously to pursue goals and achieve targets.Excellent problem solving skills.  Someone who can first recognise the problem, break it down into actionable parts and present solutions.Experience using salesforce would be an advantage.A valid Australian driver's licence.Working with a supportive and collaborative team you will join a growing business that values their culture and the way they work together to deliver results.
