$120,000 – $140,000 annual package + generous OTE

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our fast-growing team. As our NSW BDM, you will be responsible for not only selling our core Acis products, but also the supporting software solutions and legal services tailored to meet the specific needs of the accounting, financial services and legal industries.
You'll be reporting directly to our Chief Growth Officer and working alongside our marketing, sales and customer success teams to identify prospects, nurture leads and drive the sales process to close. The ability to undertake consultative selling while achieving revenue quota will be critical to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospect and Identify Opportunities:
Conduct market research to identify potential clients and build a strong sales pipeline in the accounting, financial services and legal industry.
Utilise various channels such as cold calling, networking, attending industry events, and leveraging referrals to generate leads.
Consultative Selling:
Understand the unique challenges and requirements of potential clients and position our software and services as solutions to address their specific needs.
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value and benefits of our offerings.
Relationship Building:
Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organisations.
Develop trust and credibility by demonstrating expertise in the industry and understanding clients' pain points.
Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to deal closure.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities in the CRM system.
Forecast sales performance and report progress to sales management regularly.
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Team:
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Provide feedback on market trends and competitor activities to refine sales and marketing efforts.
Negotiation and Contract Closure:
Engage in effective negotiations to close deals, ensuring that the terms and conditions align with company objectives and policies.
Prepare and finalise sales contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Customer Success and Satisfaction:
Work closely with the customer success team to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation of our solutions for each new client.
Address any post-sales concerns promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Stay Updated on Industry Trends:
Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in technology and software solutions for the accountant and financial services sector. Leverage this knowledge to offer innovative solutions and stay ahead of the competition.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
Proven track record of successfully selling services, software or products to the accounting, legal or wealth advisory industries.
Strong understanding of accounting & financial services processes and challenges.
Excellent communication & presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and convincingly.
Demonstrated ability to build & maintain effective relationships at all levels.
Ability to work independently & as part of a team.
Proficiency using CRM systems & other sales tools for pipeline management & reporting.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
